Find herein a diary of sorts; a travelog of meanderings and
musings; the movement of body, mind and spirit of an evangelist.
A technology evangelist. Preaching, to be sure, but not of religion, unless
technology is a religion. Some might think so. Sometimes I
do. Upon reflection I realize such thoughts are just a function of
too much wine after a hard day of "Come to Java" meetings with the clergy
of developers who speak the arcane languages and live in the abstract world
of software creation
Lately I've come to think that software may be the last, best hope
for a species otherwise doomed to live out our fundamental cultural premise
of "conqueror," and stand proud while the Earth lies bleeding at our feet,
only then to realize that we really are all connected. A free, open
internet, free platform software, and a hegemony by community, consisting
of reasoned, simple, open interfaces is the right and obligation of every
netizen. It is to that growing community that these missals are dedicated.
To us, and the clergy hackers who bind us all.
