If there's hope for humanity it's in software

I read a lot of news on slashdot , the rebel voice of the Linux community. A few years ago, free software was a joke. Today, thanks primarily to the remarkable and eye-opening growth of Linux, free software appears to be our only viable path if we would save the planet. This is a holy struggle against the dark forces of obfuscation, poor design, unfettered greed and lust for power.
