We're in. Our stuff is in, the T1 line is in, the phones are in, the new air conditioning is almost entirely in...we've moved households once again. This one was a much shorter and easier move than any I've experienced in at least the past 15 years. The new place is less than 5 miles from our old apartment which made it possible to make several trips in a day. Plus we took the first two weeks in August at the old apartment, which gave us a decent buffer, allowing us to basically move over the weekends involved. Thus, I was able to keep up with work (as was Liz) even as we were moving from one home to another. And now finally, we're in. It may take us a few weeks to completely unpack -- we're done with storage now, but having had 2 10x10 units for the past 9 months, each one filled pretty well to the 10 foot ceiling, we have our work cut out for us -- but we finally have enough space to unpack and move in completely, something we haven't really had a chance to do due to space constraints since we married. We're happy. And we're in.

On Saturday we attended a Goff family reunion in a small park in Bluffdale, Utah. I think 50 or 60 attended...saw cousins, aunts and uncles I hadn't seen in many years. Due to our move I can't yet locate the cable for our digital camera to facilitate a download , but once I do, I intended to post a number of photos from said event here...somewhere.

The Sun Technology Evangelism team has been getting ready for the upcoming Sun Tech Days tour, which begins in Stockholm Sept. 18-19. I've attended (via teleconference) every session's rehearsal and am pleased to report that this year will boast the best Tech Days sessions ever. I think that this year will be the most important year to date in software development. Will the dark side be successful in their unabashed attempt for total world domination? Will the rebel flag, based on the nurturing of the force and ancient wisdom prevail? Will the village idiot and sometime leader of the free world rise to the proverbial occasion, snatching survival from the jaws of oblivion, at least for the have half of humanity? Stay tuned... :)

It's good to be home again.
